Respondent failed to appear for an informal admonition scheduled for May 17, 1999, for his violation of RPCs 1.3, 1.4(a), 1.16(d), and 5.5(a). A Petition for Discipline charging Respondent with the underlying rule violations and a violation of Rule 203(b)(2), Pa.R.D.E., and RPC 8.4(d) was filed. Respondent did not participate in the disciplinary process. While this disciplinary matter was pending, in an unrelated disciplinary matter based on a criminal conviction, Respondent was suspended for one year and one day. In the instant matter, the Disciplinary Board recommended to the Court that a suspension long enough to require Respondent to petition for reinstatement and prove that he is fit to practice law was appropriate. The Board also recommended that the suspension be made concurrent to the previously imposed suspension. |
