Respondent stipulated to a violation of RPC 1.15(d) by failing to deposit a settlement check into an attorney escrow account. Instead, Respondent gave the settlement check to Respondent’s spouse who deposited the check into the spouse’s business account and gave Respondent cash. Respondent then distributed the settlement funds. Respondent also admitted to improperly handling another client’s settlement funds in a similar fashion. Respondent and Disciplinary Counsel stipulated that Respondent should receive a private reprimand. The Hearing Committee agreed and recommended a private reprimand. The Disciplinary Board dismissed the charges. |
