Respondent stipulated to numerous Rule violations in connection with four separate client matters. Respondent had previously received an informal admonition. The Hearing Committee noted that Respondent’s misconduct was the result of Respondent’s lack of experience and difficulties managing a law practice. In addition, the Hearing Committee noted that Respondent acknowledged mistakes, expressed deep remorse, make restitution and affirmatively addressed Respondent’s inability to manage a law practice.
Disciplinary Counsel recommended that Respondent receive a private reprimand and be placed on probation for three years. The Hearing Committee recommended that Respondent receive a private reprimand and be placed on probation for two years. A majority of the Disciplinary Board agreed with the Hearing Committee. Three members of the Board dissented in favor of a public censure and two members of the Board dissented in favor of a three-month suspension.
