Petitioner, who had been suspended for 20 months (computed from March 12, 2001), filed a Petition for Reinstatement on July 21, 2005. The evidence presented at his November 1, 2005 reinstatement hearing indicated he had been employed in a series of paralegal positions during his suspension. He presented positive character testimony, and personally testified that he waited for some time after he was eligible to apply for reinstatement before doing so, in that he wanted to be able to regain financial stability and stability in his personal life. It was noted by the Disciplinary Board that he was sincerely remorseful for his misconduct, which involved sexual contact with a 16 year old girl. The Disciplinary Board recommended reinstatement, which recommendation the Supreme Court followed. |
