| Case Digest |
Respondent practiced law and held himself out as an attorney while on inactive status, despite repeated notice from disciplinary authorities as to his status. He neglected and eventually abandoned one client’s case, failed to communicate with the client, and filed a false active status certification with the court, when the case had long been dormant. Because Respondent had practiced for thirty-three years with no record of discipline, expressed true contrition, and offered exemplary character evidence and demonstrated service to the legal community and the public, the Disciplinary Board recommended that he be suspended for six months and required to attend CLE programs. |
