With the sole intent to delay the mortgage foreclosure actions, Respondent filed typically unverified Answers in at least eighty-eight mortgage foreclosure cases on behalf of clients he had not met but whose cases were referred to him by Mortgage Helpers, Inc., an Ohio corporation, which had obtained the cases from Foreclosure Solutions, LLC, another Ohio corporation. According to the Respondent, the clients initially retained Foreclosure Solutions, LLC, paying a fee of $995, to attempt to negotiate a settlement or arrange for refinancing of the mortgages involved. The foreclosure cases were then referred to Mortgage Helpers, Inc., which was paid $150, who then referred the Pennsylvania cases to Respondent, who was supposed to be paid $100. Respondent’s job was to delay the foreclosures as long as possible.
Respondent had a prior record of a private reprimand and informal admonition.
