Case Digest The Insurance Department denied Respondentís clientís indemnification claim. Respondent failed to file a timely appeal to the Administrative Hearing Office (AHO) from the denial of the claim. To conceal his neglect, Respondent subsequently filed an altered Certificate of Mailing with the AHO. Respondent falsely testified at the administrative hearing that he had filed a timely appeal and subsequently submitted a brief to the hearing officer repeating this falsehood. The Insurance Department suspended Respondent from practicing before the Board for thirty-months.
