||Respondent engaged in the unauthorized practice of law in two client matters (representing a mother and her minor child in an arbitration hearing and representing a criminal defendant in a week-long jury trial) while on administrative suspension. Respondent also failed to withdraw his appearance in a total of seven client matters and to notify his clients, the courts, and opposing counsel of his administrative suspension.
In mitigation of discipline, Respondent cooperated with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, admitted his misconduct, and exhibited remorse for his misconduct. Also, Respondent had no record of discipline.
Although not characterized as a mitigating circumstance, Respondent underwent several significant personal events that distracted Respondent from attending to his CLE requirements.
