While on suspension, Respondent appeared in the Court of Common Pleas before an Arbitration Panel, acting as lead counsel for his client and representing that he and his wife, Myrna W. Galfand, who was counsel of record, were husband and wife “law partners.” Respondent also negotiated with opposing counsel and court personnel prior to the arbitration hearing. Respondent had testified at an earlier, unsuccessful reinstatement hearing that he had been working in his wife’s office, his former law firm. Accordingly, he had notice at the time of the misconduct in the instant matter that this arrangement with his wife was not permitted pursuant to Pa.R.D.E. 217. |
