Local Attorney Named Vice Chair Of Pennsylvania's Most Powerful Professional Oversight Board

(Camp Hill, PA) -- The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has announced that Louis N. Teti, partner in the Chester County law firm of MacElree Harvey, Ltd., has been appointed Vice Chair of the Supreme Court Disciplinary Board, the most influential and powerful professional oversight board in Pennsylvania.

The 16-member Disciplinary Board is an independent agency created by the Supreme Court with complete oversight and investigatory power to review the conduct of Pennsylvania lawyers and to assure compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.

The Disciplinary Board's goals are to protect the general public, to maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and to safeguard the reputation of the courts in Pennsylvania. The Board is comprised of 14 attorneys and two non-lawyers from across Pennsylvania, who meet regularly to review and decide cases, policy and Board administrative matters.

Mr. Teti is a Past President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and is a former member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Committee to Study Racial and Gender Bias in the Courts.

He is a Past President of the Chester County Bar Association, and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation.

Mr. Teti currently serves on the Board of Directors of Downingtown National Bank, and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation at Paoli Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission and is also President of the Saints Philip & James Home & School Association. He is a Past President of the Central Chester County Chamber of Commerce, the Chester County Estate Planning Council, the Rotary Club of Central Chester County, and the Rotary Club of Exton-Frazer.

A graduate of Dickinson College, B.A., and Temple University School of Law, J.D.; LL.M., Taxation, Mr. Teti is a frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in the areas of estate planning, tax planning and estate administration, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He resides in Downingtown with his wife, Joann, and their sons, Jeffrey and Ryan.
