Philadelphia Attorney Named To Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board

(Camp Hill, PA) - The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has announced that Min S. Suh, partner in the Business Immigration Practice Group of the law firm of Reed Smith, LLP has been appointed to the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court.

The 16-member Disciplinary Board is a board of the Supreme Court independently funded through an annual assessment of attorneys. It is comprised of 14 attorneys and two non-lawyers from across the state and meets regularly to review and decide cases, policy and board administrative matters. The board and the Supreme Court have exclusive jurisdiction over the conduct of any attorney admitted to practice law in this Commonwealth.

The board strives to protect the general public, maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and safeguard the reputation of the courts in this Commonwealth by assuring compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.

Ms. Suh's practice concentrates on business immigration law and involves counseling employers in connection with employment of international recruits on a temporary or permanent basis. She focuses on matters including Non-Immigrant Visa Applications, Employment-Based Petitions, Consular Representation, Labor Certification Applications and other immigration related representations before the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Ms. Suh also has extensive experience training employers on immigration-related topics such as employment verification compliance, employment discrimination, hiring practices, and employment policies. She is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education courses on these topics.

A member of the American Immigration Lawyers' Association, Ms. Suh serves on numerous community boards including the Asian American Women's Coalition, the 21st Century Society of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pearl S. Buck International, Inc.

A 1995 graduate of Widener University School of Law, Ms. Suh earned her B.S. from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ms. Suh, a Philadelphia resident, is a part of Class of 2004 of Leadership, Inc., a non-profit organization designed to promote civic knowledge and enhance leadership skills.

The Disciplinary Board was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to review conduct and assure compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.
