(Camp Hill, PA) - Robert C. Saidis, a founding partner of the firm of Saidis, Shuff, Flower and Lindsay has been reappointed to a second, three-year term on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He has also been reappointed as Chair of the Board's Communications Committee.
The 16-member Disciplinary Board, an independent agency created by the Supreme Court and funded through an assessment of attorneys practicing in Pennsylvania, comprises 14 attorneys and two non-attorneys from across the Commonwealth. The Board meets regularly to decide cases, policy and board administrative matters. The goals of the Disciplinary Board are to protect the general public; to maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession; and to safeguard the reputation of the courts in Pennsylvania by assuring compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.
As chair of the communications committee, Mr. Saidis is responsible for overseeing internal, as well as external, communication between the Disciplinary Board, its attorney members, and the public.
Mr. Saidis oversees the real estate law division of his practice that includes title insurance and search, settlements and other related services for the firm's commercial and residential transactions. Additionally, he provides counsel and representation to various financial institutions, as well as numerous small- and medium-size businesses regarding corporate, financial and business planning requirements.
A graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, Mr. Saidis received his Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.
He served as Cumberland County, PA, Solicitor for more than ten years and lectures on legal topics for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania. A former Assistant Attorney General with the Pennsylvania State Department of Justice, he is also former Chairman of the Cumberland County, PA, Planning Commission, a member of the Board of Directors of Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. and serves on numerous boards and in advisory capacities.
The Disciplinary Board was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to review conduct and assure compliance by all attorneys to the Rules of Professional Conduct.
