PA Supreme Court Appoints Robert Storey To The Disciplinary Board

(Camp Hill, Pa.) - The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has announced that Robert L. Storey has been appointed to the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Storey is one of the two non-lawyer members of the Supreme Court's attorney oversight agency.

Storey will be replacing Dr. Nikki P. Nordenberg on the board and his term will run through April 1, 2007.

The 16-member Disciplinary Board is an independent agency created by the Supreme Court and independently funded through an annual assessment of attorneys practicing in Pennsylvania. Comprised of 14 attorneys and two non-lawyers from across the state, the board meets regularly to decide cases, policy and board administrative matters. The board's goals are to protect the general public, to maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and to safeguard the reputation of the courts in the Commonwealth by assuring compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.

A resident of Wayne, Pennsylvania, Storey serves on the board of Governor Rendell's Travel and Tourism Council and is president of the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Association.

Storey, who studied business at Fullerton College, is the chairman of Capital Wine and Spirits Company, one of the largest wholesaler/brokers of fine wine and spirits in the state of Pennsylvania. Originally from Anaheim, Ca., Storey has worked in Pennsylvania for the past 11 years.

The Disciplinary Board's goals are to protect the general public, maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and safeguard the reputation of the courts of Pennsylvania. The Disciplinary Board was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to review conduct and assure compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct.
