Disciplinary Board Proposes Confidentiality Exception for Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security

The Disciplinary Board has published a proposed amendment to Rule 402 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement, which provides for the confidentiality of disciplinary proceedings. The proposed amendment would exempt from the confidentiality provision the use of information obtained by the Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security in proceedings to pursue subrogated claims. Comments should be submitted by July 7, 2003. The full text of the amendment is published at 33 Pa.B. 2857.
