Former Board Chair, Douglas W. Leonard, Leaves Board after Completing Terms of Service

Douglas Leonard, of Butler County, left the Board after expiration of his final term as a member of the Disciplinary Board. Leonard was originally appointed to the Disciplinary Board in 2008 and was re-appointed in both 2012 and 2015, filling one of the two non-lawyer positions on the Board. Leonard was designated by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania as Vice-Chair and then Chair of the Board.

During his time on the Board, he presented programs to Hearing Officers, the Board and at the National Conference of Lawyer Disciplinary Boards, as well as several other jurisdictions on topics ranging from Neuroscience and Neutrality to the Influence of Motivation in Lawyer Discipline. Leonard is currently the Director of Consulting Services for iMapSolutions and has more than 20 years of experience working with domestic and global companies including Boeing, Schlumberger, Cobham, NASA, United Launch Alliance, State Farm, Aramark and the Centers for Disease Control. Active in community and public service, Leonard has served as Executive Administrator of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County and also served as a Board member and president of the Pennsylvania Association of Court Management.

The Board extends its gratitude to Mr. Leonard for his years of dedicated volunteer service on the Disciplinary Board.
