Court Amends Pa.R.D.E. 219 Regarding Attorney Registration Payments Returned Unpaid

By Order dated November 18, 2019, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania amended Rules 219(d)(2), (f), (h)(2), (j)(1) and (2), and (k) of the Pennsylvania Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement. The language in the affected subdivisions references the circumstance of a “check” or “checks” in payment of attorney registration fees or late payment penalties being returned to the Board as unpaid. The amendment replaces “check” or “checks” with the term “payment.”

The amendments take effect December 18, 2019.
