Disciplinary Board Adopts Public Access Policy

Effective January 6, 2018, all documents filed with the Disciplinary Board must comply with the Public Access Policy of the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania. This policy makes case records open and accessible to the public while safeguarding sensitive, private information contained in those records. Section 7.0 of the Policy permits courts to adopt an order permitting the filing of any document in two versions, a “Redacted Version” and an “Unredacted Version”. By Order dated November 28, 2017, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania adopted that policy, ordering that all documents filed with the Court that contain confidential information shall be filed in two versions, a “Redacted Version” and an “Unredacted Version”. The Disciplinary Board adopts this approach, as well.

Per the policy, a certification must accompany each filing in accordance with the policy. Any document filed without the certification will be returned. The certification page shall be submitted as the first page of the filed document. Certification language is provided on the website referenced above.

Please direct any inquiries to the Office of the Secretary.
